Scholarships

Joining the GYSO makes you eligible for scholarships in the Guelph Kiwanis Music Festival.

The Lillian Evenchick scholarship, for example, is given to the top string player who enters the GKMF and is also a member of the GYSO. At $500, it is the largest scholarship given out by the festival. The $250 Douglas Sloan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the top wind or brass player who enters the GKMF and is also a member of the GYSO.
